Here's a breakdown of how this program can benefit homeschool parents.
New! Texas ESA Program for Homeschoolers – Starting Fall 2026
Homeschool Families $2,000 Annual Support per Homeschool Student

Homeschool families in Texas will be eligible to receive $2,000 per year per child, which can be used for a wide range of educational expenses — reducing the financial burden many families carry when educating at home.
Covers a Variety of Learning NeedsFunds can be used for:
-
Textbooks and curriculum materials (including A.C.E. curriculum)
-
Assessments and diagnostic testing
-
Educational therapies and services
-
Tutoring
-
Technological devices (e.g., laptops, software, learning apps)

Flexibility in Learning Options

Because EHFC offers a flexible, mastery-based facilitation model, families can continue customizing their education while accessing funds for additional resources, enrichment programs, and academic tools that align with their child’s learning path.
Universal Eligibility = Open Access
-
All K–12 students in Texas, including homeschoolers, are eligible.
-
Even students not enrolled in traditional or charter schools can apply, making it a widely accessible program.
Extra Support for Special Needs
-
If a child has a state-recognized disability, the funding may be significantly higher—up to $30,000 annually—making it even more impactful for families with special education needs.
